Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao gets his own mobile game

World champion Filipino boxing icon and senator Manny Pacquiao will be in a mobile game about him called ‘Fighting Pride: The Manny Pacquiao Saga’!

The boxer was recently named as a new ambassador of the hit RPG mobile game ‘Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,’ and also had a game character inspired by him named ‘Paquito.’

The mobile game ‘Fighting Pride: The Manny Pacquiao Saga’ was created and developed by OMG Inc. in partnership with developer Ranida Games, a sports and gaming company will be released early next year. It will feature Pacquiao’s early stages in life as a rising boxing star into becoming a worldwide boxing legend.

In an interview with CNN Philippines’ New Day, OMG Inc. President Mike Ochosa said that the mobile game which they had been developing since 2018 is about Pacquiao’s life story.

“Rather than make a book or movie, this platform will reach out to younger people, because people will be able to use this wherever you are,” he said.

The game features three modes: story mode, historical mode, and online player-versus-player mode.

In story mode, the player will follow the rise of rookie Pacquiao from the local Philippine boxing scene to becoming an eight-division champion across the world.

Meanwhile, in historical mode, players can experience Pacquiao’s most important fights in his career.

In player-versus-player mode, players can battle against other players online.

‘Fighting Pride: The Manny Pacquiao Saga’ is set to be launched in the second quarter of the year or mid-2021, with over 100 stages in four chapters, and more chapters to look out for in the future updates!
